"Linked in" is like FaceBook for the business community click here and create yourself a free profile, when your done doing that visit the App store and download the Linked In app for Iphone.  The app itself is pretty spiffy; clean, simple & FREE and with recent updates your now able to change your profile picture within the App...LOVE THIS!!!

Another great App that would be considered an extension of Linked In is Card Munch.  This App turns your Ipad/Iphone into a business card scanner, you basically take a photo within the app then it creates a digital rolodex that links to Linked In contacts.  Its GREAT and from what I hear from fellow users the feeling is mutual.

Check out my linked in profile and click below.

Finish it off with some wine

A few years ago the clients came to me to reface their
kitchen in Kitchen Craft product and after careful consideration decided on
Traditional/Oak/Espresso, door style, species & color.
And what a great choice it was for them.

In recent months the clients have returned to me and
asked me to design and quote the addition of a wine section.
After a couple designs we came to the decision that the pictured-above worked
best for their needs.
Design additions include; frosted glass feature, wine storage,
large multi-storage drawer and a pull out waste bin.

Thermofoil Cabinets

Thermofoil;
Is a plastic coating which is thermoformed to a MDF core material.
Thermofoils are nearly "bullet proof" say many Manufacturers and they are VERY tough indeed.  Many thermofoils that I have worked with in the past seem to take a great deal of abuse.  However, when thermofoils are over exposed to heat they tend to peel and melt, this is understandable as they are thermoformed to the the MDF cores in the first place.  Certain precautions must be taken when you have thermofoils in your home; don't have candles, coffee pots, toasters, you get the idea directly against/under your thermo materials.
Thermofoils are one of the most affordable materials to work with, saying that you will also pay a great deal more for a thermofoil with a horizontal bamboo or metalic pattern then say an ordinary textured white thermofoil.

Kitchen Conveniences & Techno Burst

Kitchen Conveniences
Seen to the left is the
double waste bin with two
smaller organic bins with lids.  This unit
fits a 24” wide cabinet.  Not seen
in photo is the metal lid that
is mounted inside the cabinet
below the drawer line.
Today I would say this is a common
feature seen in most renovated
kitchens.

Photo Measures
Since I have purchased my IPAD2 (with camera) I have been using this app.  I would say it works well for taking quick measures and capturing those images that could be tough to remember.  This app allows us to create various dimensions  and notes on the picture taken.  I find it to be a nifty tool for my industry however I don't think it could replace a pen and paper when working with large scale measures ,ie.large kitchens  Works great for small measures such as a  washroom but it is difficult to get the right shot when space is tight.  This app goes for $4.99 on the app store.  App functions as expected but I will be watching the store for new tools...something a bit more pretty.
